School of Fine Arts
National Architectural Competition
The main scope for the design of the School of Fine Arts in Florina was the creation of a welcoming environment respecting the human scale. The many outdoor communal spaces of different scales were created so as to favor the fruitful interaction between the students and the exchange of different views and ideas.
Of equal importance was the integration of the School complex to the general area and especially the city of Florina. The functional connectivity, that was one of the requirements of the competition, between the School of Fine Arts and the adjacent facilities of both the University Campus and the School of Pedagogical School, orientated the design of the School of Fine Arts as the heart and the meeting node of the whole complex.
